Q: does this give you cold air just like an air conditioner??

Not as cold as an air conditioner but it's definitely cool air that comes out the fan, I'm a person that runs very hot and trust me I've never had a better working fan for this price and quality and I'll state that this fan does make me feel to cold after some time especially if on high setting. PS. That means alot coming from me as I said I run hot and I'm a heavy sweater

Q: How many speeds does it have???

There are 3 speeds. Setting 1 is powerful enough (yet still quiet) to push air up a staircase. This thing is a champ.

Q: Can you stack these fans? I need multiples and need to save room.

I personally have not tried it myself. However, if you position the blower portion horizontal you should be able to stack them on top of one another. I would put a soft cloth or cardboard in between each fan to create balance and prevent any scratches. Good luck.
