I had an attack of sciatica in January of this year that was the worst I've ever experienced, 6 months later I still have numbness and my other leg has become very pain full with muscle strain with over compensating. Anyhow this has affected me greatly as I've not been able to get out walking like I used to and going up and down stairs is hard going. works but doesn't expand very much. I had a different one of these before moving from the states and the other one i had did a much better job of compressing. these you have to wrap them very tightly to get that same amount of compression. The strapping feature does help with that a lot though they are much easier to wrap tightly!
