Almost perfect! My favorite nalgene topper
I’ve used a 32oz nalgene daily for many years, with a variety of lid formats, and this one has been a game changer. So much more convenient to take a drink when it just involves flipping up the spout, rather than having to unscrew a lid. I like that the straw is wide- definitely feel like I get more water than I do through a straw of standard diameter. When the spout is closed, it really does not leak.A little bonus feature I’ve noticed: when you open the spout, it also opens a small second hole which is standard for improving the flow of liquids from closed containers (like to-go coffee lids). But what’s cool about this one is that, if you tip the bottle upside down with the spout open, a narrow little stream of water will flow out of the second hole - which has been great for quenching my dog’s thirst on a hike! (water doesn’t really pour out of the actual straw when the bottle is upside down & spout open, because the tip of my straw is all the way at the base of my bottle so it’s not getting intake in that position.) I think I’ve been using it for about 4 months with no funky smell or taste, no mold or gross buildup; a substantially more pleasant drinking experience than drinking from the lip of the Nalgene bottle or other configurations (like the “cap cap” - my previous go-to solution). finally, I like that it has a carrying loop- it comfortably fits on my finger, or I can use this to secure it to my bag when I’m not holding it.My only gripe, which really isn’t that big a deal, is that in order to actually slurp up the last bits of my beverage the straw has to be so long that it sits at an odd angle when the lid is screwed on tightly. I initially cut a straw a little shorter, sitting just above the bottle’s base & thus not bent, but it left a good amount of bev on the bottom of my bottle. I cut my second straw longer, such that the end of it drags across the bottom of the bottom; this does allow me to drink it all up, but I have to tilt the bottle at the right angle for the straw to round up the last of it for me. I can tell this has made my straw get pretty bent out of shape, but hasn’t really caused problems. Overall I really love this thing and will likely come looking for another one if/when my current one needs replacing!

Best lid for 64oz wide mouth hydro flask. Period.
Was honestly a little worried about the quality of the lid when I first received it because the handle/fingerloop is much more flexible than I would have expected. That being said, it's durability is higher than the original hard plastic loop handle that comes with most of the hydro flask(and look-alike) jugs/bottles. I carry mine with me everywhere I go and have for the better part of 6-7 years, regrettably it gets dropped far more often than I would like, and as a result I've had to replace the lid at least a dozen times. I've tried different variations Everytime, the ones with the button pop straw cover, the ones with hard straws, silicone covered straws, hard handle, loop with carbineer, and more. This one is my favorite by far, the extra vacuum hole for easier flow when drinking is awesome and uniquely designed to my knowledge. The handle is great for getting a good grip when carrying by hand but the loop also offers the option to easily hook to a carbineer on a back pack or in travel. It doesn't leak if it falls over, even if it's full, which was a drawback of the last couple lids I ordered. It's very reasonably priced, has a well considered, and high quality and durably built design. If you're looking for a new lid, this is the one, I can't say definitively as I haven't tried every single one of the countless options available, but at the vary least it's so much better, leaps beyond the original lid, and top tier of replacement options if not the absolute best.

No downsides. Works like a dream. Makes a good gift. Will probably buy a third time.
Edit: My wife lost her water bottle and borrowed mine because she was going camping and I wasn't. She doesn't like nalgene because of the lack of insulation compared to what she usually has but she ended up really liking the lid. So I ordered a new lid for her so she could have one. She had already ordered a different bottle though (which I hadn't known) but she screwed it on when it arrived and it fit, so now she has the best of both. She mentioned today, as she was getting ready for another camping trip, that she's really enjoying having the lid, even more than she thought she actually would, now that she's gotten used to having it for a bit. So I'm doubling my review since I can't double the rating to 10 stars. It makes a good gift.So I'm clumsy. I love my nalgene bottle but it was either keep it screwed tight or risk spilling everywhere. Often. I finally decided someone else had to be clumsy and have designed something so I could both grab a drink with minimal fuss when I wake up in the middle of the night and am doubly clumsy for being half asleep AND not have it be a total disaster when I inevitably do drop it again. This was the product I found and it has fixed the problem.Fair warning, you will have to trim the straw with scissors to start. It doesn't just fit. But that means you can easily make it fit on any variation of bottle with the right size opening. And once the straw is trimmed, you can just forget about it.The straw top is easy to flick open with just your thumb, even exhausted in the middle of the night. It takes pretty much zero effort, even compared to the pretty darn low effort of unscrewing the lid. It's also a fairly wide straw so it doesn't feel like you're fighting for a drink. The rate of flow means I can drink at pretty much the same speed as I was when I was just tipping back the bottle. And because the straw is trimmed exactly to my bottle, I'm actually getting the dregs slightly better. Most important to me, is that it is just as low effort to close it back up. A flick of the thumb and it is closed. Completely silently. No fumbling back on a screwtop in the dark and waking up my partner. I can't even hear it.But suppose you don't. I have already forgotten twice to close it back up and then fumbled it. Tremendously less water comes out. Close enough to zero for me. We're talking backsplash levels. A single kleenex is kinda overkill for the amount that comes out.The other times I have dropped it, with the straw closed, are the same as before the lid change, no spillage. It might as well still be the screw on top.I will definitely buy this again when I get my next bottle.
