Rock solid performer and exceeds expectations
This is sleeping ear bud nirvana. Before going into the pros and cons of these buds, I want to give a comparison to experiences with the GOOGODOQ Bluetooth 5 earbuds. I gave a very favorable review for the BT 5 buds as they fill the need for comfort, battery and isolation. After a year's worth of daily use, the thin wires finally started breaking and it was time for a new set of buds. When the BT 5 version was originally purchased, I saw these BT4.2 version and passed on it thinking it was more modern and a "newer" product. I'm so glad to have given these a try since these 4.2 versions are superior in practically every way. This is my second pair of 4.2 due to the robot vacuum sucking up the power cord and eating my first pair of 4.2 and tearing it up to bits. Listing of pros of the Bluetooth 4.2 version vs Bluetooth 5 version 1. If you have multiple paired items like iPhone and iPad, the sound will not skip. In BT5, if more than one item is paired, the sound has a studder every 1 minute and it is maddening. This really the number one reason why 4.2 is so much better than 5. 2. the voice "disconnected", "power on", etc. is much clearer and easier to recognize in 4.2. The 5 was a cheaper sounding mumble. This is really a trivial thing, but is a sign of increased polish and product quality for the consumer. 3. The sound is slightly warmer and has a better sound than the BT 5. Overall, I'd say the sound performance is considerably better with the 4.2 version. Don't expect high end or audiophile quality here. It simply sounds good and doesn't sound like a tin can or monotone drone. 4. The ear bud material is slightly more supple on the 4.2 which provides a more comfortable fit and results a much better seal in the ear. I don't really have any cons aside from it is defenseless from a hungry iRobot :-) Final thought: If you need sleeping buds that are easy to use, decent quality sound, comfortable fit, long battery life and most importantly, can drown out partner's snoring -> Get this one. If you were deciding between the Bluetooth 5 and Bluetooth 4.2 (this) version -> Get the 4.2 version!

Breaks Quickly With Normal and Expected Use
First, let me say the seller delivered the items to me as promised and the sound quality was more than adequate for audiobook listening. Likewise the battery power was as promised. These were also comfortable to sleep in even for this side sleeper. So, initially, I was so pleased with these headphones that I purchased a pair for my wife as a gift so she can use them when she travels on business. I used mine every night but my wife travels once a month or so and she used hers a handful of times. So here's the issue: sometime about 7 weeks after using these exactly for the purpose for which they were advertised. And one of the entire sides of the headphone unit was completely pulled off and separated from the other part of the headphone. I now had one headphone with some wiring, and another headphone attached to the different wire as well as the unit that controls the volume/play. In short, the headphone became immediately unusable. They wouldn't charge or play any sound even in one ear. And it happened with me rolling over in my sleep, an expected use. I just went to sleep with all being fine and woke up and the headphones were in two pieces. Unfortunately, this occurred about 1-2 weeks after I gave the second pair I bought for my wife. She used hers only about 3-5 times, over about 5 months. One night she goes to bed and both headphone speakers are working. When she awakes, the sound will only come out of the "left" ear, the side that isn't connected to the volume/action buttons. So yeah, I'm down $70 and two people got a total of about 7.5 weeks of normal usage during sleep before both units become completely unusable. Quite simply, the durability of this product was worse than any other product I have bought on amazon over the last 15 years. Please, please don't make the mistake I did and find another -- really any other -- option.

Super comfortable for sleeping
These earbuds have probably been the single item that has improved my quality of life more than any other over the last few years. I share a bed with someone who snores like a chainsaw, and I tried so many other solutions to help me sleep that did not help at all. These earbuds have changed my life. I've worn them to sleep every night for the last 3 years, and I can't tell you how great they are. I have to replace them every six months or so (which, for wearing 6-8 hours a day every day seems pretty good for $30 earbuds). I find most earbuds/earplugs too uncomfortable to wear for more than an hour or two in my day to day life, let alone for sleeping. I'm a side sleeper mostly, and I can barely feel these, even after a long night. I don't know much about good sound quality in general, but I have zero complaints there as well. Most importantly, they block out enough noise to allow me to sleep soundly through the night, and I only have to charge them every 2-3 nights or so. My only real complaint is that when the battery gets down to about 20%, there's a voice that comes on maybe every 30-ish seconds to remind you that the battery is low, which effectively makes them useless at that point. I'd prefer that they just died with no warning. Even still, that's not enough of a reason to keep me away, and I'm on my 7th pair of these. If they ever stop making them, I'm going to be completely lost.

Bought them and the sound keeps cutting out of each ear. One moment both sides work, next second the left side cuts out and stops working for minutes and then the left comes back and the right does the same and sometime both cut out but the device is still connected to my phone. This was right after opening the box and testing them for the first time.
