These are great replacements for the cheap ones you get with the Harbor Freight meters.

Like a bunch of the other reviewers here, I bought this two pack to replace the busted leads on a couple of inexpensive but good old harbor freight red multimeters. They fit perfect. I’ve given my old meters a new life.

The probes have a rubber shirk that covers half of the banana plug which prevents full insertion on older fluke meters. This shirk is easily cut off with a sharp knife and then the probes work fine. My fluke meter is from the early 1980's or older.

You know those cheap little multimeters from Harbor Freight? The ones you can buy for under $10 or even get free with a coupon and a purchase? We use them mostly as battery testers but they're decent little meters for the price. We've never had a meter go bad and we've probably got 5 of them. But the leads crap out soon after you get them. Sometimes on the first use. I used to solder new ends on them but the wire was so thin that there wasn't much to work with. No more. This is the fix. These are far better than the originals. Two sets in use for at least a year and no signs of wear. Will replace the rest with these when my repairs finally go bad.

If there is a need to replace the multimeter test leads these are a great bargain. They seem very durable; way better than the OEM ones my cheap multimeter came with originally.
