AirVANTAGE 5" Palm-Style, 2nd Generation Advanced Electric Sander Non-Vacuum with Low-Profile Pad (3/16- Hook & Loop)

I’ve owned a mobile refinishing company for the past five years I go through Sanders pretty often by dropping them running them over with cars let’s just say I’m a little rough with my stuff. This sander is amazing with P80 grit all the way up to P2000 grit. It is extremely well balanced even at high speeds which makes it great for roughing out filler. I’ve use the sander for approximately 9 months of heavy use 5 days a week and still going strong. I’ve literally had this thing on the max setting pushing a good amount of force into my material for around three hours straight in 100° weather and it has not overheated. But the main reason why I love the sander is the speed goes low enough to do fine finishing work with high grit sandpaper‘s, 3M fine finishing film P 2000. Use this thing with an interface pad and some high-end sandpaper and you have yourself a dry sanding no pig tail beast of a machine. Let’s just say wet sanding is a thing of the past when you have the right equipment. Do I have to say anymore it’s under 400 bucks just buy it you’ll be happy. Matt UPDATE 02/08/24: I would’ve loved to tell you all that my sander died of natural causes, but unfortunately today it was killed by a Toyota Tacoma caused by yours truly. It lasted 3 years 6 days this is by far the best sander that exist in the world. The moment I ran it over with the car is the same moment I purchased a brand new one. Like I said, in my previous review, I do not treat my things nicely. I’m surprised it lasted so long with such abuse, and still kept on ticking. Air advantage the only thing I ask of you guys is if I have any problems with my new sander, you better hook me up. 😄 Thanks everyone this is the end of my review. It’s a solid sander I would trust anything air advantage produces.

This is an awesome machine. This is my third one. I do custom cars and I love this thing. Very quiet don’t need air. Very strong. Highly recommended.

Been a combo bodyman/painter over 40 yrs. Have used Mirka Deros 650 6" electric d/a's for 17 years. I was skeptical about the AirVANTAGE. Have been very happy using my 6" AirVantage,electric,3/16 orbit,mainly for bodywork over the past 6 months. Occasionally use it for blocking primer. It's reliable,very powerful, and exceptionally controllable. Great tool,$300 CHEAPER than Mirka! Would definitely buy again!

This sander is amazing. My husband uses it almost everyday for work. It’s comfortable and easy to hold to work in small spaces or areas or even large areas. It does come with a 1 year warranty and they have such amazing customer service. I definitely recommend this sander!!

Nine month review: This sander has been temperamental and will shut down for the day if used for more than 45 minutes while wet sanding automotive finishes. Don’t even think about trying to push it hard or get wet. It’s a cute little finishing sander that will yield good results when it feels like functioning. Customer service inquiries have gone unanswered. A decent air sander will yield the same or better results with unequaled reliability. If you don’t have, or don’t want to run a large compressor continuously and only want to sand for less than an hour every day, then this sander should work for you. Personally I’ve had it with this little toy.

Use in an auto body shop for feathering paint, might not go back to air, tool is light and quiet, and speed goes slow enough for bodywork.

I love this electric sander. I bought 2.
