I wanted to connect an old desktop computer with a DVI-only graphics card to a new 1920x1200 monitor with an HDMI input. My setup is a bit unorthodox and I was skeptical that this or any other cable would work. But, this one worked perfectly!

I has hunting for a solution for displaying a computer or laptop onto my 65" TV. This cable is a simple, elegant solution that was very reasonably priced and was deliver very quickly! It's pretty simple to use, just attach the DVI plug to your computer's video card, then attach the other end, the HDMI end, to your second HDMI port on your TV. Then, just turn on your computer, switch the input on your TV from HDMI-1 (if that's what you use for your primary video source) to the HDMI-2 input with your TV remote control. And there you have it! Your big screen TV is now your computer screen. Attach a wireless keyboard and mouse to your PC and you can sit in your favorite spot for watching TV and with a press of a single button on your TV remote control, check and send emails, shop on Amazon or anything else on your PC. I attached an old computer to my TV and use it for a variety of tasks. It kinda turns your older non-smart TVs into a smart TV! I bought two of these cables and now have two PCs connected to two different big screens! It's easy and requires no programming of either your PC or your TV!

Manufacturer refunded my money promptly even though it was a few days after the warranty. I was impressed with their fast response. This shows they really care. This is an update based on a review that I posted a few weeeks back: I recently moved and haven't watched tv but twice. The first time I used this cable I was able to get cable television from my computer to my older tv. The picture wasn't very clear and there were some streaks/lines that kept showing up on the screen. Last night I tried to watch a movie and the tv screen wouldn't even show the movie that was on my cable account. It only showed a picture of my iMac's desktop. So I plugged in a cable from Best Buy ($40 plus tax) and that did the job. So I'm going to find out how to get a refund.

Works Great

I have accumulated a lot of older monitors that accept only DVI and VGA input. This cable enables me to connect them to the ubiquitous HDMI outputs on more modern computers. So, I can keep on using those older monitors that still work just fine. Quality of construction is good; the cable seems durable and the signal gets through to the monitor without any problems.
