I've always found that wool irritates my skin and just itches all day, so I have to wear either acrylic or a mix. These socks are perfect with their cushioned sole and maintain their shape well at the top of the leg. I've found plain acrylic socks become slack at the top. I've only given them 4 stars because the garters definitely don't go twice round the calf and I've got sparrow's legs. Otherwise recommended.

Good feel but too small on the leg.
Lovely looking sock with good pheasant design but these socks are too small. I’m an average build and they were pretty tight on bare skin, they had no chance of going over trousers for a shoot. I’m size 10 and these are 8-11, I’m now thinking they mean 8-11 year old!! I will be returning them shortly.
