Q: does it work for drive beds?

Unfortunately did not work for us. Wrong fit

Q: I don't have an owner's manual for my bed. Is there any way to be sure this will work with it?

If the foot of your bed has a rod with a pin through it, this handle should fit the bed. That rod is a shaft that turns a square tube under the bed and raises/lowers the bed.

Q: will this fit the head and foot or just the up and down? I dont the model # bed we have.

I think it is just up and down. The model of the bed is underneath the frame near the foot of the bed.
