Q: Are they safe to smoke with?

I think, I may be wrong, but i think he is referring to what we were told in the old days. I've heard; Dont use brass plumbing fittings to make a pipe because when smoked out of, they put out a poisonous gas that will kill you. I've also heard the same about stainless steel becoming chromium. So when you look at the choices of screens that do you find? Stainless Steel and Brass. Hmmmm? I can offer some help on this but on the other I'm not completely sure. Heating and reheating stainless steel will in fact create chromium. I make some killer moonshine and have to deal with this. Eventually you can actually taste the chromium but it last so much longer than the brass screens. Also I do in fact think brass changes into something as well. I know they eventually discentagrate and I guess we inhale the screen or what it becomes. As for me? I choose the stainless on both. Moonshine and screens. I hope this helped.

Don’t know the Exact size of the wire but it’s Stick thickest screens I’ve had good quality kind of you can clean off and reuse Worth the money to me I bought a second one for my old man

They are flexible and can be pressed into a convex chamber.

They’re stainless steel! 201 & 304 are grades of stainless but my metallurgy classes were 40 years ago.. if you really need to know, contact the seller! Good luck..
