I purchased this as part of a yeast balancing program (to be used along with antifungal herbs, lactobacillus and bifidobacteria probiotics, and low-sugar food plan). Dr. William Davis shares that saccharomyces boulardii can be put into juice and will ferment rapidly, making a probiotic drink with orders of magnitude more live yeast than if you just take the capsule. I hadn't realized that there were other ingredients besides the saccharomyces boulardii in the capsules (very unusual for me; normally I read labels before buying), so I was a little apprehensive that other ingredients might interfere. But it works! I've been dong it mostly with coconut water but have tried various jucies as well. As Dr. Davis warns, it gets very fizzy very quickly, so you have to refrigerate fairly soon, loosen the lid of the bottle every so often to let extra carbon dioxide out. And of course, there will still be residual sugar, so only have small amounts. This is very lively stuff!

I bought this because I couldn't find in the UK the brand I normally use. This one was equally effective and cheaper. The only problem I had is that when I took 2 pills per day for 2-3 consecutive days I had some bloating as a side effect (which I think is actually very common for some people when taking saccharomyces boulardii). Apart from that, it really helped with a minor gut issue I had.

I have not noticed any improvement in my mild gastritis but I have only been taking the capsules for about 5 days.

put in several different clear juices then after three days removes the sugar on top like a foam its ok
