Q: Is this whistle a low F or high F? thanks

I bought this and it's definitely high. Higher than my standard Clarke D whistle. If you want a decent and affordable low whistle I'd recommend the Dixon Low G. Pretty inexpensive but still good quality, with a nice low sound.

Q: Would this instrument be good for small hands of young kids?

Hello A tin whistle is a good learning tool. You cannot make bad notes. Even small hands should be able to cover the holes. Make sure that they sit down when practicing. If they walk around when other kids are bumping into each other, they can injure the mouth. Gary
