Thermoflow Elex 3.5 Used Point-of-Use Tankless Water Heater Electric for Sinks, 3.5kW at 240 Volts

I have always needed an additional water heater for the sink in my bathroom that is a whole house away from the main water heater for the house. Running water for almost 3-4 minutes just to wash your face with warm water in the winter is a pain and a luxury that most of us avoid.I had a 2gal tank -under the sink- water heater in my art classroom at school that was wonderful! So I investigated that idea for my home space. After comparing all of the options, (Thank you Amazon for your great return policy!) I chose this particular model and size.Wow! What a difference in time, water waste and -I am sure -eventually $. It provides hot water right away and space-wise you can barely tell it is under the sink!. This is the way to go for anything I need like this again in the future-for sure! The water can be warm to very hot-so there doesn't seem to be a problem with the temperature - and it is endless-As long as I run it-it will not run out-I guess I could put this on the shower too-( I am not sure to what extent you can split the water flow without compromising the little device--There were larger ones for more water flow-)I did have to get an electrician to install it-but after that, it was a simple hook up.I bought two-but decided I didn't need two. The customer service people were prompt, friendly and generous- especially when I decided I actually would use the 2nd one the day after I sent the other one back!I think this is a great purchase all of the way around.

unit ran perfectly for 5 days or so...then i hear a small explosive sound and water pouring out under my kitchen sink cabinet. unit was not running at the time...the back of the unit blew out and it looked like a metal spring was coming outside the black plastic backer... i got a refund and bought something else ....very disappointed..this is my 3rd under counter unit and id say in 6 years....they dont last..

These are great. Very small and will fit anyplace, but produces hot water very quickly and continuously. These are great for under bathroom sinks. We have tankless hot water heaters in our house, which work extremely well, and are very efficient, but it takes a while for the heater to heat up and hot water to get to a sink, so by the time the hot water gets there, you are done washing. With these, the water is hot locally within seconds. Note that they do constrain the flow, so I would not use this small version for kitchen sinks or shower/tub supplies, because it will limit flow. However, it's the right amount of flow for a small bathroom sink, and the water is very hot. note that is does require a 240V AC circuit.

This item doesn’t even deserve one star. I wish I could give it no star.#1- Item arrived with a broken part.#2 - I hired a professional to get this installed and aside from the additional part that I had to purchase, the heater doesn’t even work.After spending double the amount that I paid for, I am left with a heater that doesn’t work at all. I would not recommend this product and I am thoroughly unhappy with my experience with this. If you’re looking for a point of use heater, I would suggest you to spend a little more and get the Bosch. Thermoflow is a piece of junk.

We are building a house, and we have just finshed plumbing the bathroom and need hot water to just wash up with. So the Theroflow Elex 5.5 Tankless Water Heater is working great.

I installed this in a retail store and it provides hot water to 1 sink,as we did not have hot water in the store.this heater works great! No more chilly hands.The unit is within a couple of feet of each sink. Works great in my application.
